The Green Tweed Bomber Jacket

I had the green tweed men's jacket because I was dressing background extras for the Rendezvous photoshoot. I also had a distressed brown leather jacket from when I helped dress background characters in cages for Rachelle Henry's movie Missing.

On this jacket I took the entire sleeves out and resized them and cut the body to size 10 and sewed them back together.

I also took the entire collar off so I could insert the sweat shirt hoodies between seams.

I put new 2" elastic into the waist band which I culled from the distressed leather jacket, and turned it to put the brighter side out.

The distressed pocket, cuffs and snaps had to be removed from the other jacket and sewn on by hand using the same sewing holes as previously so as not to punch extra holes in the leather. I did find that I had an issue with the snap closure being on the wrong side from the button so I took the waist band off and reworked that part switching the direction of the snaps. That gave me the opportunity to also tighten the waist band to 27" so it will fit a bit snugger and flatter more of the petite girls.

You can see it in progress in on Catherine in the Preview clips. I'm looking forward to doing a photoshoot with this one when the cool weather returns.
